Step 6: Conference of the European Science Parliament 2009-2010
120 Persons from across Europe meet in Aachen in order to decide upon the final Aachen Declaration 2010. These persons are packed with knowledge and ready for work. They are supported by a whole community that can follow the discussions via Live Blogging and streaming video. The Internet Platform of the ESP also provides communication between the visitors of the conference and the supporters at home. Online supporters' submitted video statements can be shown during plenary sessions. The 120 members of the ESP are divided into 4-6 working groups (currently 5). It is your choice: we will ask you for your two favourite working groups shortly after the meeting of the Jury. Needless to say, we will try to stick to your first choice, but this might not always be possible.
The conference takes place in Aachen on March 24-25, 2010 in facilities of RWTH Aachen University. The official opening takes place in the evening of March 23, after a day of field trips for all participants.
Mosaica is happy to welcome pupils and teachers on March 21 and provide a social programme of getting-to-know and visiting the City of Aachen.
The exact programme and locations of the conference, and information on field trips will be made public in the Timeline section.

Meals during the conference

What you have to take care of
You have to take care of plane or train tickets or another way to get to Aachen, and you will have to book your hotel via our website in time. You can book standard hotels and better hotels, so you have to decide if a standard room is enough or if you want to pay for the additional cost of a more luxurious residence.
You have to cover for any travelling expenses that exceed EUR 40,- (EUR 200,- per group of 3 pupils + 1 teacher, respectively). You have to cover for any hotel bill exceeding 3 x EUR 80,-.
