Does internet keep people in touch ???? Many sites like facebook, windows live messenger e.t.c. can people contact with others by them . If for example a friend of us live in Canada from these sites we can talk with him very easy and free !!!

Of course not! If you can go out and see your friend and mates! But if you are far from your friends and you can't connect them, you can't see them, even you can't call them because of the much price!
If you are in internet, even you can use it for faster connection with your friends, for work or some other things!
Before time I was sitting really much on the PC, liking the virtual life but now I'm using it mostly for some work, taking picture from some trip or celebration, for school things and some things like this mostly!
I suggest not using it really much just for stupid things like games that are losing your time, or for visiting site for other stupid things!

It's true that Internet has its benefits. We can contact with everyone, at anytime we want around the world and find friends, lost for a long time. But it's an impersonal contact in which the only thing that you can exchange is just words.....

Yes, it is a source where can find people who you lost contact with... It is known that everybody have Facebook and Myspace but it is not always a good think. People are spending too much time on some unimportant things. And of course there can be a lot of sick, mental problems people , and pedophiles so i think that everyone who use that kind of communications need to be careful and to add just people who they know!!!!

Actually, at least in my opinion, internet is one of the most significant scientific breakthrough of our century. When we talk about science we do not only mean chemistry(molecules etc) or physics but also computers and internet. So i think that we could, not necessarily, talk about that subject.

the new generation uses the internet as a mean of comunication...
we prefer writing on the computer from talking to the phone...
via internet you can contact with strangers , thing that you cannot do with the mobile phone for example...
furthermore, it is cheaper , and this makes the teens to prefer it.
In some areas , I think canada for example, some teens do not even go to school, they communicate with their prof via internet. this is the good aspect of the use of inernet.

Internet as a democratic medium
I see the Internet as a possibility to get more people involved in democratic processes. In germany we had a big discussion about internet censorship with a petition online that reached more than 120000 people.
We have more information available yet we need some ways to distinguish fact from fiction. We need more media involvment and more experts making factual knowledge available. But I like the way people can interact without ideological, intellectual or geographic borders.
